Generally the GPA is given by the institution which issues a student’s transcripts, however this might not match the way Pace calculates the GPA. Pace calculates a student’s GPA upon application but if the student wishes to have an idea of what their USA GPA is before applying they can use the GPA Calculator.
When using the GPA Calculator students should select their country and enter the number of credits they earned in each class as well as the grade they received in each class. They should note that if their transcripts do not indicate credits they should enter “3” in that category. Also in order to obtain an accurate GPA they should also insert all grades they have earned in high school or all grades earned in their undergraduate degree. While this is a helpful resource, it does not guarantee that the GPA score obtained will be the same as the one Pace will decide. This is due to grading scales which could be different from the GPA Calculator.
Applicants to an undergraduate degree should only calculate the five main subjects – History, Native language literature course, Math, Science, and English.
Calculating your own GPA might be a bit difficult, but our Personal Education Planners can help you.
GMAT means Graduate Management Admission Test. The GMAT is often an entry requirement for an MBA and other graduate programs at business schools in the USA. The test assesses an applicant’s ability for advanced study in business and management. The GMAT must be taken in English. It measures mathematical, verbal and analytical skills.
GRE means Graduate Record Examination. The GRE is another graduate admissions test, most often used for assessing applicants to master’s programs in non-business disciplines, e.g., biology, chemistry, computer science, literature, math, physics and psychology.
The GRE test measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills and is taken in English.
